Election Day is Tuesday, May 4, 2027 — a long way off, which is exactly the point. The next eight months are for listening: School Committee meetings, coffee hours, and as many Brookline living rooms as will have me. If you want the campaign to come to your neighborhood, host a house meeting — I’ll bring the coffee.

The 2026 override was an extraordinary act of trust by this town, and its first budget cycles will set the tone for whether that trust was honored. I’m following the committee’s budget reporting closely and will use this space to translate it into plain language as the numbers come out.
